The first warm sunny day would provide a much needed nap in the fresh air. The chaise lounge would be placed in the perfect spot so I could soak up the bright rays of sunshine. It was bliss for a housebound person striving to break free of SEID/CFS. Every cell in my body would sing with delight. It was literally food for my soul. And my energy reserves would jump. I had to resist the urge to start digging in the dirt and just relax letting everything else go in order to focus on healing. I would read and visit with a friend all from my chaise lounge, saving every bit of my replenished energy for the challenge of recovery.
So as these spring days build, one upon another, soak up the renewed energy like a sponge and then selfishly stash it away. For many, deep energy reserves can be a ticket back to health.
